Seventh met

During my seventh met for UED102,my group were held at S3BS2 with Madam Nurul Afzan Binti Najid.Her office at S743(Ext:5463).She from course AM110.During our seventh met,she provided explanations for us about modul 7 which is our last modul for UED102.The topic was Academic Integrity and Performance.There was two important subtopic which is:
*Avoiding Plagiarism
*Calculation Grade Point

ACADEMIC INTEGRITY 

AVOIDING PLAGIARISM:
1.Many students are unintentionally guilty of plagiarism when they write assignments,reports,research papers and others.
*Plagiarism means an act of using or closely imitating the language and thoughts of another author without authorization and the representation of that author's work as one's own,as by not crediting the original author.(Madam Nurul Afzan Binti Najid,26/07/2017,Uitm Kampus Raub)

PLAGIARISM:
1.Turning in someone else's work as your own.
2.Copying words or ideas from someone else without giving credit.
3.Failing to put a quotation in quotation marks.
4.Giving incorrect information about the source of a quotation.
5.Changing words but copying the sentence structure of a source       without giving credit.
6.Copying so many words or ideas from a source that it makes up the   majority of your work,whether you give credit or not.

-plan your paper
-take effective notes
*Writing your paper:-
-Cite sources
-Make it clear who said what
-Know hoe to paraphase
-Evaluate your sources
-Include a reference page

For example your grade points for the main subjects are:
Subject 1 - 9
Subject 2 - 8
Subject 3 - 7
Subject 4 - 8
Subject 5 - 8
Step 1:Add all the grade points
9+8+7+8+8 = 40
Step 2:Divide the sum by 5
40/5 = 8
Thus your cgpa is 8.0

FAILURE AND DISMISSSAL
STATUS  DESCRIPTION
D1- {A cgpa of less than 1.80}
D2- {A cgpa of less than 1.80 with P1 status}
D3- {A cgpa of less than 2.00 with P2 status}
D4- {Failed in a certain course for the third time}
D5- {A cgpa of less than 2.00 at the end of the maximum period of study and still have courses which have not been completed}
D6- {Passed all courses required by a programme and fulfilled all the requirements of the programme but aqcuired a cgpa of less than 2.00}
D7- {Did not sit for the examination of all the registered courses for that semester without the approval of university}

Lastly,our meeting ended on 10.00 a.m.
